Washington Monument Lighting, 12/7/23
This was the 52nd year for the Washington Monument Lighting up at Mt. Vernon Place in Baltimore. In Addition to the lighting an intense fireworks there were food vendors and music performances.
Baltimore Oriole – The Bird
I’ve yet to see a Baltimore Oriole in the wild, but did see this male of the species high up in a tree in the newly renovated birdhouse at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in DC.
Gutierrez Memorial Fund Walk, 10/21/23
This past October 21st I was the photographer on the Gutierrez Memorial Walk. In addition to the walk, the held a silent auction at the Gutierrez studio. Longwood Gardens
Only a 90 minute drive north from Baltimore, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is definitely worth the road trip. Pierre du Pont who owned the land opened the garden to the public in 1921.
Sweet Land Farm, Waialua, O’ahu, Hawai’i
Sweet Land Farm, located near the North Shore of O’ahu, raises goats and makes delicious award winning cheese. They also have some early to mid 20th century plantation style homes on site that were moved here from the old Ewa sugar plantation.
