Inner Harbor Fireworks, 07/04/23
Last year I was up at Federal Hill with a tripod to experiment with long exposures. This year I was down at water level leaning against a pole to get reflections. The fireworks from the close in barge and the one further back by the Domino building/Fells Point blend more as one show from this...
Longwood Gardens
Only a 90 minute drive north from Baltimore, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania is definitely worth the road trip. Pierre du Pont who owned the land opened the garden to the public in 1921.
Sweet Land Farm, Waialua, O’ahu, Hawai’i
Sweet Land Farm, located near the North Shore of O’ahu, raises goats and makes delicious award winning cheese. They also have some early to mid 20th century plantation style homes on site that were moved here from the old Ewa sugar plantation.

Misty Morning Shots
On this New Years Eve the visibility was not much more than 2-3 blocks in spots. I went down to the Inner Harbor and got this shot of the USS Constellation looking its age, as well as a dock and Rash Field Park. The other photos are from in and around Conway Park.
Fall at Lake Roland
Lake Roland, originally a reservoir, is just across the Baltimore City/County line. These were taken at the tail end of the Fall colors season, and I probably have gotten more red the week before.
“The Squeakness” Pig Race
In the 19th century this part of town was the site of butcher shops and meat packing plants to process pigs transported from the Midwest. They were herded down Cross St. and Columbia Ave. (now Washington Blvd) from the B&O station to be slaughtered and processed. “The Squeakness”, the pig race at the yearly Pigtown...
Woodpecker Pecking
A busy bird on the tree outside my window this morning. Its a woodpecker, but i’m not sure which one.
Fireworks Over the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, 07/04/22
